St. Paul's Lutheran Church held a 9/11 remembrance ceremony in Locust Street Park this morning. Pastor Skip Nizinski led the 15th anniversary service, which was attended by about 50 people from the community.
Very nice service remembering those who died in this act of terrorism and the police, fire and first responders that serve us. We take those jobs for granted, but their lives are always in danger when they respond.
Let's hope as the years go by,that people do not forget the significance of this day. It is sad that Americans are starting to ignore the meaning of Memorial Day and this day ranks up there with that holiday.
