Manor Township residents and business owners are getting a heads-up this week as production crews for HBO's Task film scenes for the show's second season.
According to a notice distributed to residents, intermittent traffic control will be in effect on Blue Rock Road between Donerville Road and Old Blue Rock Road from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. on Wednesday, July 22, and Thursday, July 23.
Crews and equipment will be staged along Blue Rock Road, and drivers may be asked to hold temporarily until the road is clear. The production is advising residents to "build in" extra travel time if they need to pass through the area during those hours. The notice was signed by Jenny Manypenny, Assistant Location Manager for "TASK" — HBO, on behalf of Random Productions, LLC, the production company handling location logistics for the series.

Production officials say they are coordinating with Manor Township and the Manor Township Police Department to keep disruptions to a minimum.
Task is an HBO crime drama created by Chester County native Brad Ingelsby, also known for "Mare of Easttown." The first season, set largely in Delaware County, followed Emmy winner Mark Ruffalo as FBI agent Tom Brandis, leading a task force investigating armed robberies at drug houses tied to a Philadelphia-area biker gang.
The show is backed by a nearly $50 million tax credit from Pennsylvania's Film Production Tax Credit Program, with the season filmed entirely in Southeastern Pennsylvania. State officials have said it's the largest tax credit Pennsylvania has ever awarded to a single production, and the state projects the season will inject roughly $194 million into Pennsylvania's economy and support about 3,700 jobs.
Productions have recently wrapped scenes in Manayunk and continued shooting in Upper Darby and Drexel Hill.
