To those that oppose the ELANCO shared superintendent deal: Obviously it is already in the works, but that does not mean it is totally done. A merger with another district would be great, but not this half ass crap with a district that far away. Continue to voice your opposition.

This is not a merger, it's a hijacking.

Yes I agree, a hijacking! What time is this meeting Cole?

Very True. Is has been contrived for months and hidden from the taxpayers by the key persons who will benefit, the doo in particular. This could all be stopped in its tracks by several people who know the truth. My hope is that they have the will to come forward and end this thing now. End the agreement NOW and the problems go away.

That's putting it mildly. It's very sad our schools and taxes are so out of control.
I feel sad for the students who actually want to learn and want to better themselves and the future.
As for the minority of students who are trouble makers, disrespectful, and probably end up in the system, get out and go get a job. That will cut enrollment by 10 percent

I think we all share in some of the blame for this fiasco. While we watched the borough council like hawks, packing their meetings, the school board, for years, operated under the radar because very few people, if any at sometimes, attended their meetings. I personally regret having never attending a school board meeting even though the school taxes are much higher than my borough taxes. I gone to a few borough council meetings but never a school board meeting....what a mistake! A government body that is not watched by those who they serve will become very comfortable in doing whatever they please.

A true merger would give our kids all the class & after school options the other ones have. Also our taxes would come down with the shared services such as administration.

This whole merger is a takeover....started by an 8.00/hr. tour bus driver who suddenly becomes a $94, 000 + benefits, unqualified, uncertified, overseer of our district...It is totally unethical ,and, according to the Pa. school code ...illegal. It will be stopped! Narcissistic Mr. DOO, your plan is not going to work!!!!!

You are correct, my concentration was on the borough as well, that will change.

It appears that the Doo-man thinks that the good people of our town are stupid. He may think that he is a big fish in a small pond, but his little boat is taking on water. Time to bail Mr. doo-man.....your little plan for your dream job is taking on the liquid light of truth.

AGREE! We must hold these elected people accountable. We must be participants since we are paying the bills. A quote "Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely". Small, power hungry people ,with unduly high opinions of themselves, really believe that only they know what's best for us. We must correct this. Go to the school board meeting on 9/15...fill the room with our voices. Facts are stubborn things!!!!
