Bricks fall from building on 200 block of Locust - more signs of impending collapse

The building at 208-210 showed more signs of impending collapse as borough officials, police and fire police responded there this afternoon.  A neighbor called the borough office at about 3 p.m. to report that several bricks had fallen from the right side of the front wall.  A structural engineer hired by the building's owner, Samuel Bigler, was called to inspect the property. The 200 block of Locust Street was shut down and traffic was rerouted around the area.   Fire police will reportedly be on duty at the scene for the next 24 hours.

Time to have the borough make Bigler take the building down before some one really.gets hurt.

I don't know why they keep giving him more chances. His properties have caused a lot of problems for the borough. Presently, he has until tomorrow night to come up with a remediation plan. If one is not presented, the borough will have an engineer render a judgment on the building. I'm hoping the borough decides to demolish the building. It had been unoccupied for several years and is currently unoccupiable, and I believe it will continue to be so. Enough is enough.
Bigler has a hearing on August 18 on several charges related to this building, to which he has pled "Not Guilty."

Enough is enough this building needs to come down and should've already been done before someone gets hurt. Once again dragging there feet on a very serious situation.

Hey Cole, not sure under which article to put this comment but just informing you that you were threatened with bodily harm on Facebook. I advise you to secure a screenshot ASAP so charges can be filed. This Facebook banter is rising to a new level. With this mentality it's no wonder the cops here have so many calls. Too many uneducated people living in one small place.

AS FAR AS FACEBOOK, IT SEEMS TO BE A PLACE FOR SOME TO AIR THEIR SO CALLED OPINIONS, INSTEAD OF GETTING A REAL JOB, THEY JUST FEED ON OTHER PEOPLE'S PROBLEMS, HEALTH ISSUES, AND NEGATIVE THINGS. FOR HEAVENS SAKE PEOPLE ON FACEBOOK, YOU SHOULD ALL REMEMBER, WHAT GOES AROUND, ALWAYS COMES AROUND. I WOULD BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU SAY AND THREATEN TO REAL WORKING AND STRUGGLING PEOPLE! HAVE A GREAT DAY MR. UMBER!
