Thousands of dollars spent for overtime and resources tied up because a few people want to act like they were oppressed. And when they don't get the reaction they wanted they'll probably try something else for attention.

this is a SAD day for this Boro. IF you are a Columbian. shame on you. step up and do the right thing. if you are not (and here IS where the problems lie) then GET THE HELL OUT OF OUR TOWN. YOU ARE NOT WELCOME HERE. DON'T COME BACK. Born and raisded Columbians would NOT do this.
the Boro MUST force ALL landlords to follow a protocol. Each and every single tenant living in any and all rental properties whether its apts or houses MUST first past a background check. a Megans Law check, and hopefully and respectfully, they WILL be real Americans who work for a living and trying to raise their families. They are NOT the generation after generation of families who collect welfare, assistance, food stamps, medical insurance and do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. We as Americans MUST insist on fixing this broken system of ours. The welfare and assistance programs were created for those truly in need. IT WAS NEVER MEANT TO BE A WAY OF LIFE !!! Something must change. AND on top of all this, the very people collecting our hard earned money never have to take a drug test! Seriously? Yes true. There is SOOOO much in the United States today and NOTHING will ever change is NO ONE demands accountabilty from ALL our politicians.
like each of us that work for a living...we each have a Supervisor, Foreman, Etc. The Police Officers can ONLY do what they are told to do. The Chief AND the Mayor are the ones you need to address. First the Chief and ultimately the Mayor control the Police Officers. YES we pay their salaries and we SHOULD have a say. But ultimately it should be with the Mayor!
I personally think Chief Brommer did an excellent job on bring PROactive with this situation. He did everything in his power to keep the peace and not let things get out of control. People are always griping about who is paying for this and who is paying for that... think about this.... what if the Chief didn't have all of the extra police presence and things got out of control like it did in Ferguson.... who would be paying for all of the destruction? Quit being so narrow minded people.
