Not blaming the writer, but there weeks to get a story in the paper. Nice job LNP. Guess it was the good new angle that delayed publication.

As i said before, OH WELL!!! This town has more money then brains!!

They are not the same grates Columbia used in the 90s, so for some reason some other town removed them too and they ended up at Sahds.
I wonder why the other town didn't keep using them?

Once again, the minority got WHT they wanted

I'm sure the tree grates will look nice in the end. Time will tell how things go with them, like maintenance, tree health, trash and weeds.

Missing in a story read on Columbia News and Views, a council type said it was because a business wanted them. Then let the business pay for them. NOT THE TAXPAYERS!

I see money in them grates! Watch how many are missing for scrap!

Not much moeny in them. Scrap metal is at an all time low. Maybe a few years ago but not noe.

I never heard that a specific business wanted the grates.

Well that business is a boys club member I'm sure. They get what they want. No I'm not sexist but the boys club is. You all know who you are & what you do!!

We did not need the.grates but.one.person wanted.them.and he rules

I sure hope that you are a registered voter. Wh en the petitions come out to run for office, pick one up and run for office. If elected, you can fight against the "boys club". Also, watch how you use "boys club", since Columbia has a boys and girls clubs in the 200 block of Locust St.,which is part of the Lancaster Boys and Girls club.

I would run for an office. May get elected may not. You do know that if you don't agree with the majority you serve with you are harrased & threatened in your own home. Know someone it happened too. My one voice will be drowned out anyway. I love my spouse & children too much to let that stress come into my home. It's a shame that's what it comes too.

I served on council for 8 years back in the 1980's and agree.on some of your thoughts. At least the group I served with got along and did not get into name calling and we respected each other's opinion. It is a shame how politics has changed.Today, too many politicians have personal goals and not the ideas of the people who elected them. May you and your family have a safe and healthy future. Someday, your single voice maybe heard and sway a vote.
