You saw it here first

Just saw a news story on WGAL's 6 p.m. report about Columbia residents using chairs to preserve their shoveled-out parking spaces. Remember folks, you saw it here first, specifically, HERE and HERE.

I am so angry after seeing the news 8 report regarding the use of chairs, among other items, to mark one's parking space. I stand firmly behind the use of items to mark a parking space that was neatly shoveled. My daughter told me tonight that she remembers me pulling out of my parking space and making the kids get out of the car and put the "chair" there. Fond memories of living here in Columbia :)
I think the police need to be more understanding of this issue. I also believe that there will be more disputes among neighbors if spaces are taken. I, for one, will be angry if I shovel for an hour, leave for groceries or an appointment only to return home with no where to park. No one can say that it will allow the snow plows to work more efficiently because we can see that doesn't work in the heart of this borough. The metered streets along the curb area are trecherous.
