This excerpt is from the Columbia Borough website. All the codes officers need to do now is get out of the office and out of the truck and enforce the code.

Actually, the code officers have better things to do then to patrol dog crap. Not that they aren't just as important, but it would be a better fit to assign dog crap patrol to the Meter people. They spend more time on the streets and it would be easy to have them stretch a few blocks further to patrol and clean up dog crap, AND GIVE SOME FINES ! to get the word on the street that Columbia means business !!

Yes, the fines might start to change people's minds.
I agree with CG. The meter people could keep an eye on the dog poop situation, since they are highly visible several hours a day.

Nah, just an interested citizen.
I'd hate to see Charlie and Glenn having to clean up dog crap, but they should be given the authority to cite offenders.
