Turkey Hill re-opens its remodeled Prospect Road store

The Turkey Hill Minit Markets store at 1199 Prospect Road, Columbia, re-opened its doors Thursday after a renovation and expansion that took more than 12 weeks.
Now 4,500 square feet, the store has an updated décor and broader selection of products.
New offerings include hot pizza, available in 14-inch pies or by the slice,  and an upgraded coffee brewing system.
The cost and other details of the renovation and expansion, which began Dec. 1, were not immediately available.
Open 24 hours a day, the Prospect Road store employs 25 people.
Turkey Hill will hold a grand re-opening for the store on Friday, March 14, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Lancaster-based Turkey Hill has 61 convenience stores in Lancaster County. The first opened in 1967.

I'm surprised that they didn't add a petting zoo and charge people to learn the history of cows

That could be next.

I missed this store. I did stop there for gas, but didn't go in as every non-gas pump parking spot was taken up. I think they got an exemption for number of parking spaces, but they really should have added more.

Personally, I think they should have built a new store across the road (where wawa and sheetz were interested in), but I hear the twp. won't allow direct access off of 462. I don't think an entrance just off of Prospect would have kept anyone away - probably would have made the store easier to get in and out.

But nobody asked me.

You're right about the parking spaces. It's always hard to find one there. The former Minit Mart at 9th & 462 is open again, under new ownership.

I know where you mean. There's good produce there.
