To those who signed the petition:

Continue to show your support for the Tax Hike Repeal by attending this borough council meeting. Do not allow this council to ignore your voice. That's called TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION!! Over 1,100 taxpayers signed the petition in three weeks. That's nothing short of amazing, do not let them tell you otherwise. Sharon Lintner

I hope this room is also packed I'll be there for sure. They need to know they cannot do as they please and lend our money out too.

Council members were elected to represent the people. Are they representing you? Do their votes reflect your needs or their wants? It only takes four council votes to pass huge projects that will cost us for decades to come. Four residents decide our financial future. They do not care if you cannot afford it. On a social media site, a council cronie said, if they can't afford the tax hike, they're holding Columbia back. With that ignorant statement, he insulted retirees, the elderly, single moms, those that kept their homes maintained and paid taxes to this borough for decades. The arrogance is palpable.

Demand accountability.....they SHOULD be representing their constituents. NOT doing whatever they want. ATTEND TONIGHTS MEETING.

I agree 100% with all these comments. We need more than restaurants, one brewery should be enough always competition with things and a hotel OMG who would fill it. We are not a city just a nice little town.too many antique shops too. If Kmart is going out we need a store similar to that one.

Seriously? The antique shops bring people to town. Not sure you ever frequented Kettle Works, but it is a great place and popular. So, why negative about another one. I agree repeal the taxes but some of this dog piling is just nonsense.

Build the hotel, amphitheater, concurrently, bring in bands, Styx/Damn Yankees,Kansas, Alan Parsons Project,Chicago, and all the old bands still touring in small venues

I live near that project. I don't want that noise or the trash it brings with it.

There is Not enough room on that little piece of unsafe ground to do all that.
