The Mayor needs to be fined for illegal parking. Enough is enough.
What is going in that house at 429 Chestnut St anyone know
Where is the separation anxiety photo taken?
At the bridge plaza, on the Rotary Park side.
so nice of you to be out taking pictures in this cold weather. Keep up the good work.
The photo doesn't show if the mayor is parked illegally or not. His he too close to the crosswalk or beyond a no parking sign? The stop line in the photo means nothing. Wish the photo showed a wider view...or did the photographer mean it to be that way to cause controversy?
At 429 Chestnut Street radiator covers have been removed. They are on the front porch for sale. How can the borough not know what's going on there? It appears as if it's some type of business. I hope this beautiful old house isn't gutted for a short term business venture.
Permit states HVAC...that would certainly explain the removal of said radiator covers on the porch and more than likely the radiators to make way for a new (H)eating (V)entilating (A)ir (C)ondition system. Who says the borough doesn't know whats going on there, no where is it written or implied in the pics any sort of secrecy to the project.
A quick search of the name Yi Na Bee connected to a Linkedin account for Nabee Yi....Managing Partner in a Hospitality Group, based in Maryland???
So, maybe an B&B?
Hey how about you park there and see what happens.
It is aways to close to the cross walk . his moto do as I say , I don't lead by example . and it is not a codes truck either.
Hey whats going on up on 800 block of walnut , rehab in a residental area??? BACK DOOR??????
Knox boxes , everyone should put them up that high ( the reps office) that way a thief needs a ladder. As for council another fart , no specs for instillation , is this another president bullying ,just shake your heads yes to the vote.
About time they tell us whst is going in st 429 Chestnut st or is it hush hush like everything in this town
Been using a Knox box for years with no issues. Not saying I am for enforcement in town but a thief has a lot easier job of getting through doors, windows etc. The only people you are inconveniencing by putting high are the firefighters that are trying to help.
How about trying this, one might attend a Council meeting and ask if they could provide any info on whats going on? Or call the numbers/name on the sign. Or when you see someone working there, ask them. It's not that hard.
you got it they all follow the leader , good or bad .
That rehav house has a little bit of circus in its colors, but it should not be with in a block of a school.
They still don't even know what's going on at 119 North 5th Street, let alone 429 Chestnut. That question has been repeatedly asked of codes and council and nobody answers it and nobody seems to want to find out. That building has absolutely zero parking spaces and no way to create any. In addition to that, it sits on the side of 5th Street that is "no parking". Multiple women appear to be residing there. So don't tell people to go to a meeting and ask, been there, done that.
Even ifyou go to a council meeting they won't tell you what is going on at 429 Chestnut st.they will act like they don't know what you are talking abput
I just want to see a photo that includes the mayors truck and the crosswalk. If its less than 20 feet than i want to know why it isn't ticketed.
Question....if all rules, codes and laws are being followed, why is it anyone's business as to "whats going on there?" If you have attended meetings and asked, i'm sure there are privacy legal reasons as to why there aren't any answers. In your world everyones business should be public and open to make you feel better. I'm pretty sure with a HUGE sign on the front lawn at 429, the owners are not trying to hide or do anything illegal or against the codes.
The rehab house will slide in , just watch ,back door you know.
You can see it for yourself almost daily, just look.
You mean they don't know well who does? That means you can do whatever you want to a bldg. Where's the zoning people?
Can't the firefighters go through said doors and windows, just as easily as the thieves? Do you plan your life around your pending fire? I don't. I buy insurance. If it catches on fire, let it burn. Don't risk anyone's safety on trying to stop it.
To answer your questions Eric.Yes they can. And yes my life does encompass risk management for public safety which includes a whole more than fire. For the firefighters they may encountered a gas leak or other issues where breaking down doors is not a viable option. Just curious we're required to install a Knox box at your building that has been mostly void of business for a few years now. Or does it have to be a business that currently has a customer base. As I had mentioned above I wasn't saying I was for enforcement.
There is no reason for anyone to know what is going on in that house unless you are an investor or owner. Be happy someone is improving some of the old boarded up houses in town.
I live close and never seen this house boarded up. In the above photo it shows some plywood leaning from inside for work being done. That is different than being boarded up.
look at pics on Sunday 1/27/19 for the I am above the law pics.
