I agree we don't need an asst. if the manager can't handle the job get one who can. Maybe she is not secure with her decisions and needs a back up. Too many employees in our little town. The asst was just named last month and retiring already. Maybe the big meeting scared her away. Did Norm have an assistant?

She announced retirement last year, why promote her , maybe manager should explane this.
Why is Columbia doing it's own food inspections??? The sate does this for free , a borough manager would cut expences by letting the state do them
