Key words here are "prepared statement". Kelly Murphy, council president came prepared to turn the taxpayers down before listening to their concerns.
You sir i believe are a liar. If you were truely trying to get businesses in your town you would eliminate the parking meters. Ridiculous to pay your water bill but wait i need a quarter for the meter. Also why do you need 4 zoning officers and 4 meter readers? One more thought is that all council members should be paying property and school taxes. So don't expect me to believe any of your lies.
I believe that the year 2017 is incorrect. Maybe it was discussed privately in 2017? The ordinance was passed in 2018.
Yeah! You're right! Why do they need all of this personnel. Run lean and mean and have some experienced people take on just a bit more. That's what I did at me business and it actually yielded far more in production.
You mean you spoke for all council let them speak for themselves. Nice you guys on council have a lot of money to pay taxes. Council meetings look like a puppet show all just shake their heads to everything except John Novak he does ask questions.
If they took away the meters, the spots would be taken by renters. People coming into town for business would have nowhere to park
need to remove HALF the codes dept. they quick ticket the same people over and over for minor issues.
Makes perfect sense to me. Good explanation of the relevant issues at hand.
I’m wondering who brought the business loan program to the boroughs attention? Does anyone know?
Thanks, Marie Myers
Please keep in mind, the more rules by the Columbia Borough more personnel are needed to check on these possible violations. Also the more committed violations, the more income to the borough.. remember, it cost you more to litigate these *money making rules* then it does to simply pay the fine.. and you're guilty until proven innocent and to prove your innocence you'll pay..
Thought I would throw this out.. I was in E-TOWN this past week.. their parking meters still take dimes and if I remember correctly, a dime gets you a half an hour parking privilege.
GOT TO PAY FOR THE RIVER PARK
Dont get used to it Mr. Murphy! This will be your last year here and we will repeal your thought process.
People now have seen your true colors , and lack of concern for tax payers, time to step down , term limits must be put into place for council , you and others got to much of a power trip and think you all are dictators, well you are not and you will see what is thought of you and your puppets come November.
