What Does It Mean For Columbia? - Unexpected move leaves Rapho, Manheim scrambling for stray dog control - News

State law requires municipalities to care for stray dogs found in their jurisdiction, but does not require any action with regard to cats.
The Humane League has now moved to accepting no animals from municipalities.
The newly formed Lancaster Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) plans to establish a shelter in Lancaster and to make the shelter available to municipalities.

What does this mean for Columbia ? Will residents of our borough be able to use the services of the new SPCA?

my guess is attend boro council mtg monday at 7 and find out!!!

I'm not understanding why the Boro doesn't do something about the huge feral cat issue in the Boro....they spend money on dumb stuff, but fail to step up with the serious issues.
