    1. Good question. Is the borough above the law? At the very least, this sets a very poor example.

  3. What time was this photo taken? According to the ordinance, they had until 10:00 AM to clear the snow.

  6. hey is anyone paying attention to this??? the BOro is advertising for a
Environmental Compliance Supervisor" another management position that they tried to advertise for maybe 2 months ago-"Sewer Enforcement Officer" at a cost of I believe it was $68,000.00 with benefits......the Boro does NOT need this position filled for a HANDFUL of properties. The property owners would hire a certified SEO for a "little bit of nothing" to inspect tank. This is ANOTHER BLATANT WASTE OF TAXPAYER MONEY !!! NO.NO.NO. COUNCIL AREN'T ANY OF YOU LISTENING TO US TAXPAYING HOMEOWNERS????? HAVEN'T ENOUGH OF US LOST OUR HOMES AND JOBS ALREADY? Maybe you all need to do your homework.

  7. i agree....this boro, mgr and council all they do is spend, spend, spend.....it's ridiculous.
council you were elected to represent the majority of taxpaying homeowners - and you are NOT doing that. NO hiring.....we can NOT afford and will NOT stand for it. get ur head out ya a--

  8. did you notice in front of the police side of the boro...that the same vehicle always parks out front for like the whole day and in the ONLY handicapped parking space that's for use for us handicapped customers while doing business in the boro offices....why??? ridiculous.

also, do you notice that TOO much of the time, there is 1 and sometimes 2 boro vehicles parked in front of the boro...where in the heck are us customers supposed to park???
this is ridiculous. why don't ALL of the boro vehicles park in one of the lots or on the side of the building? the boro vehicles should NOT BE PARKED IN FRONT OF THE BUILDING....
    no common sense.

  10. Your Mayor will gladly tell you that HE is in charge of the Police Department, so you should complain directly to him. I agree, it is ridiculous!!

  12. This borough is not run for the betterment of the residents, it is run for the benefit of the employees at any cost to the taxpayers.

  13. i believe the boro is run for the betterment of ALL it's management -and council....most have a personal agenda....ie: River Park (and the millions of dollars the taxpayers are paying for it and will continue to) wake up..ie: truck route...ie: cameras that are spying on us...ie: NEW VEHICLES constantly for boro highway and police....should i continue

  15. Council holds the reins to all things in this Boro. Make them acocuntable. When they run they promise to cater to the majority of taxpaying homeowners...but then they forget....people, wake up. these idk is it 7 people are spending our money like its water. always buying - more equipment. (when we have to do without because we can NOT afford to pay our bills every month) .. hiring more mgmt - a sewer enforcement officer (now using a diff title) that they DON"T need at a cost of $45 or $50,000.00 another NO BRAINER....for what 16 props out of THOUSANDS.....come on. get real....INSTEAD OF BUYING MORE EQUIPMENT - FIX OUR FREAKIN STREETS....WALNUT ST, 8TH ST, 7TH ST, CHERRY ST, UNION ST, ALL OF THEM ARE BAD.....WHAT DON'T U PEOPLE UNDERSTAND???? fix the streets....NO to buying more equipment and hiring more mgmt and spending more on River pArk...NO NO NO STOP!!!!!!!!!

  16. I agree 100 % FIX OUR FREAKIN STREETS.....THEY DAMAGE OUR CARS DAILY! you people on council should be ashamed that our streets are SOOOOO bad and yet you approve all the frivolous spending. Wake up call.

  17. i agree. the streets are terrible. something must be done. can u imagine how many streets could have been repaved....if River Park wasn't the number 1 priority. we all know that MILLIONS HAVE BEEN SPENT on RIver pArk and they are gettin ready to spend MILLIONS MORE!! how lucky dfor us

    ReplyDelete
  18. imagine that! some things never change...the boro has the audacity to hand out citations for the same stuff that it does NOT do for its own properties...

    ReplyDelete
  19. i used to see the janitor out shoveling and keeping the sidewalks clear 24/7...what happened?

    ReplyDelete
  20. HOW TRUE...AND THEY JUST DON'T GET IT EITHER!! THE BORO HANDS OUT CITATIONS FOR RESIDENTS FOR THE SAME THING THEY, THE BORO IS GUILTY OF....AND THE CYCLE CONTINUES....come on councilors, do something about this crazy stuff. pay attention, listen to your residents, care about the boro you live in, say NO to ALL the spending.....
instead-fix our streets-instead of spending millions and millions on the river park..hello??????is anybody paying attention or even care????
and why spend any money at the river when the SUSQUEHANNA IS DYING A SLOW DEATH AND NO ONE WILL DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT.....CONCENTRATE ON THAT INSTEAD OF SOME STUPID BLDG
