What kind of country do we want?

Now's the time to think about what kind of country we want.
With that in mind, here's some food for thought from around the web:

I am not against gun control, but are Ak-47 need for the public to own. If someone wants to shoot guns like this, have ranges where you can go,shoot them and return to the range owner. But again, guns do not kill people, but people do.

It is time that our leaders stop playing with these terrorist groups and attack there strongholds. You watch them on newscast in their training camps in Syria. Hit them with some bunker busting bombs and some weapons. Maybe they will get the message we are fed up with their games.

No one as a private citizen has to own an assault rifle. If you feel as if you need a machine like that...there is real problem. See a psychiatrist immediately please.

It's not the gun, it's the person behind the gun.

Repeat, no one needs an assault rifle, if they think that they do, there is a mental problem.
So, if "it's the person behind the gun", why would you want the crazy people to buy assault weapons?

Actually this weapon is not an AR15. It would be a M4/M16 regulated by the NFA. You see, if you look, and do your research before flying off the handle, it has a selector switch for full auto and what looks like a 10-14" barrel. These weapons can only be obtained 3 ways. 1. A military base was broken into and weapons were stolen. 2. A person broke into a wealthy persons home (I'll explain in #3) and stole weapons from them. 3. A person went into a Class III firearms dealer, picked out this firearm and paid them no less than $20,000. Then filled out the paperwork and waited 6 months to get it approved by the NFA/ATF. Also remember civilians can only own full auto weapons manufactured before 1984. Look, what happened was horrible and should never have happened. But, this person regardless of religion, sex, affiliation or whatever planned on hurting people. If the guns we're not available there would have been something else. Bombs are easier and more effective with what's available on the Internet and everything can be bought at a box box store. Instead of rushing to blaming guns, blame the person who did the crime. We need to unite as a country, as Americans, regardless of what church we go to or what party we vote for or who we go home with at night. I am republican, I am Christian, I am Ems professional, I am USMC and I am an American. Love your neighbors, stop blaming guns, and grow up. Blame the person just like you would blame the drunk driver for hitting and killing a buss load of people. You wouldn't blame the car they were driving.

Grow up? What a childish thing to say to anyone. I know that I am older than you and was a professional as well, with a career that spanned decades. If someone claims to be Christian, why would they resort to talk like that and where, in your god's name, is your compassion for the victims. People worry more about owning a certain style of gun than they do about victims. I am proud to say that is one area that I lack education in, guns. I have no need to know all there is to know about guns, that does not fit into the world I live in. Controlling some gun purchases will not interfere with your gun
ownership. As always, when there is no argument, resort to name calling.

I wouldn't brag about being a Republican.

I do love my neighbors and I don't want to see them shot to death.

very well said Autumn and thank you for serving our country. people don't really get the "it's people who kill people" NOT guns that kill people.

They should dramatically raise the cost of ammo. Would definitely limit one's purchase... make people more selective in there use. If you can't afford a box of bullets.. your guns no use.

Our Country isn't all bad, our Borough is a different Story.
