I was told that Columbia is merging with Hempfield and the Columbia High School is going to be an Arts School!! Any truth in this Cole??

Hadn't heard that. I'd be surprised if it were true.

It is true, if you talk to tom s. he will tell you the school is BROKE!

Joe Lintner said...

Sources have told me that might be true.

Columbia needs a boro manager, it was in the news paper.

That's correct.

I wish the information about the schools financial condition was out in public. The taxpayers have a right to know this.

Tom S should not be talking about the money part of the school district when he is on the school board .

they dont have a choice, we are broke! Go to the next school meeting and you will find out!! Have a good day!!

Whats the difference, his wife is a teacher at the school!!

We are absolutely broke! I spoke to one of the elected official who attended a private school board meeting 5 months ago.

"Private school board meeting?"

That smacks of a violation of a basic right to know under the Sunshine Act. Not surprising though that the lack of transparency and "back door" meetings happen ... wonder which mayor was the elected official who attended?

Anonymous said...

It was 4 school board members and 4 "elected" officials, (3 representatives and one senator). No Mayor.

Hmmmm If we lose the school, does that mean we don't have to pay for it anymore?
