What happend with the group that was fixing it up?
Looks as the groups was "fixing it up" to flip it: the sale price in October 2014 is shown at Zillow as $30,100.

It sounds like they are giving up or trying to turn some quick cash.
at least someone with the know how and money fixed it up or it would have sat for years and years...another blunder by codes.
They fixed the back wall, it's far from finished.
