Payment for tickets will no longer be accepted at borough office front desk starting December 1, 2017

Effective December 1, 2017, parking tickets and quick tickets will no longer be accepted at the front desk of the borough office. All tickets must be either mailed to the borough or placed in the drop box at the borough office. If you wish to contest a ticket you will need to do so by stopping at Magisterial District Judge Bixler's office located at 341 Chestnut Street.

The drop box at the borough office is located on the front of the borough office just west of the entrance to the offices. The photo above shows the location of the drop box.

How can a ticket be contested at the MDJ level without it being docked in the state system? Does this also hold true for the quick ticket? Where is the due process? So if one thinks a ticket was issued in error, broken meter, delivery, ect. do you contest it at MDJ's or do you have to wait till a summons gets issued to plead not guilty? I believe this is creating a work load on the county paid staff of the court that should be handled in house as all other municipal government's that have the anuquated pay to park systems.

They don't want to deal with the unwashed bringing in their tickets.
