They....The school board and borough council are running all the life long residents and home owners out of town and opening the door to slum lords and renters that have no vestments into the once great community. Sad days to come. And before you say try and be part of the solution. ... I did. I attended meetings where you were only allowed to comment on agenda items and we're not allowed to ask questions. What is needed is not a merger. It needs the attorney general to investigate like what happened at Manhiem twp.

Columbia borough officials allow landlords and tenants to get away with a number of offenses. The officials do nothing to defend the rights of home owners. I'm fed up also and am investigating other municipalities for what they have to offer as well as their taxes. "Columbia proud" can only afford to go so far.

How true I lived (owned) a house beside an out of town land lord for 25 years. Everytime there was a code violation the code enforcement would make excuses and give him warnings. Columbia truly caters to landlords. Not a problem now. SOLD mine. I will never forget where my great great great grandfather settled nor will I disrespect the the families that lived there as I did. I will also never forget the bullshit that the landlord put my family through. Karma is a bitch.

It was stated that the borough offices are packed and need more room. They said part of it was due to more code enforcement people. Hopefully, more enforcement will be done and just not talk about it. The code enforcement gang ought to walk at night and see
how the garbage can enforcement is doing. My neighbor is still putting numerous bags out. If you going to send emails out about ticketing people, then do it.It is time to crack down on the slumlords and others. Many are following the rules, but a few who are not, makes it bad for all.

The can issue is so trivial to all the other problems we endure.
Walk the alleys and see unkempt yards, trash piled up, shacks being added on, illegal scraping and the such.
