A letter from the Council President, more like a book!!!!!

It is nice to have a newsletter, but the letter from the council president was too lengthy and too self centered.

If we don't have a sewage plant anymore, what is the purpose of a wastewater manager. What are we paying LASA for?

Any comments from the mayor or police chief? Not just council president.

Interesting this used to be printed on regular paper. Now they are using high gloss and color- more wasted tax dollars!

WHY does everyone kiss Mayor Lutz' @$$? NO Council president has ever kept him in check. His only job is to run the police department and he has his nose in EVERYTHING! WHY does a town of roughly 10,000 residents have so many police officers(20) that makes up 48% of our budget? Whatever happened to regionalization of the department that was being looked into years ago? Because just like our school, no one wants to consolidate with this poverty stricken town!!!

The only reason there's money in the General Reserve is because of the LASA money! Someone needs to ask him what Council is doing to prepare for the Police pension money that the taxpayers are on the hook for. NOTHING! They're kicking the responsibility down the road when none of these Council members will be around! I work out of town and I can tell you that he's full of crap when it comes views from outsiders. They think Columbia is a joke and can't believe anyone lives there and pays the outrageous taxes! People won't even consider Columbia when looking for a place to raise a family! Look at all the empty and/or condemned houses around town!
