Coffee & Cream, 101 N. Front St. Columbia, June 20. Fail. The Person in Charge did not demonstrate adequate knowledge of food safety in this food facility as evidenced by this non-compliant inspection. Observed two boxes of eggs held at 82°F, in the upper storage area, rather than 45°F or below as required. Sliced turkey, a refrigerated, ready to eat time temperature control for safety food in the reach-in cooler, was date-marked by the facility, but was beyond the 7 day use or sell by date and requires discarding. Food facility has a reminder statement on the menu for foods that are/or could be served raw or undercooked to the consumer; however, does not clearly disclose which foods the reminder statement applies to. Observed a pink and black slimy residue on the deflector plate of the ice maker. REPEAT VIOLATION OF 12/4/23. Floor in the cold-storage area, is made of wood and broken linoleum, and is not durable, smooth, non-porous, non-absorbent. Live dog observed on the premise of the food facility in the customer sitting area inside. A working container of grill cleaner was stored on the same shelf with equipment (cutting boards), in the upper food storage area.
