Denim Coffee, a Chambersburg-based coffee roaster that opened a Lancaster coffee shop in 2024, is buying the Columbia and York locations of Prince Street Cafe for an undisclosed price.

The sale is expected to be finalized Sept. 16, and the coffee shops will subsequently be rebranded as Denim Coffee, according to a news release from Commons Co., owner of Prince Street Cafe.

The original Prince Street Cafe in Lancaster, which debuted in 2006, will remain owned by Commons Co., which also owns Passenger Coffee and Merrymaker Catering. Commons Co. is owned by Kyle Sollenberger and Crystal Weaver.

Denim Coffee will be making minimal changes at the York and Columbia coffee shops, although both will be closed briefly for the transition, Denim Coffee co-owner Tony Diehl wrote in an email.
