Rendering assistance

This ambulance was enroute to Columbia when it became stuck at Harrisburg Pike and Route 30 West during Saturday's snowstorm. Phil Shirk and James Barnhart (both of Columbia) were able to provide assistance, enabling the driver to proceed to the destination.  Thanks guys!

They really must have needed a shopping cart

The Morning After . . .

Some pics around town this morning after the big snow . . .

SNOW UPDATE 01-24-16 12:15 PM

JANUARY 24, 2016

Please pass the word on that if you do not need to be out driving around stay at home. Everyone is trying to dig their vehicles out and the street are narrow at this point and will be for sometime. It is a safety hazard for those shovelling out their vehicles. Emergency vehicles are having to wait for vehicles to get out of the block before driving through them.

Thanks!

Plowing through

Workers are busy plowing borough streets today, trying to stay ahead of the relentless snow. Snow is expected to taper off between 4 and 8 p.m. and stop by midnight.

Don't blow snow into the street

According to borough ordinance, snow should not be deposited in the street after the street has been plowed.

Apparently, some folks didn't get the memo.
