Columbia Borough police were aided by other departments for a reported manhunt on Friday.

Columbia — 300 years

Accompanied by a 1948 American LaFrance fire truck, a newly restored 1917 LaFrance was out for a test drive Friday (5/29/26) morning along the parade route for the upcoming fireman's parade scheduled for Saturday, June 6th.

Two icons: A 109-year-old fire truck and the historic Wright's Ferry Mansion

Chugging up Locust Street

The river was a foot above normal on Thursday, but it seemed higher.

Someone forgot their helmet. It probably belongs to a worker at the Walnut Street project . . .

This tree will be removed.

So will these.

X marks the spot — or at least the mulch.

New sidewalk coming right up

How will this affect our MS4 rating?

Don't block the fire hydrant.

This photo was taken Sunday morning. The black car in the front was parked in a "handicapped" space but didn't show a handicapped placard or license plate. The other two were parked in spaces designated "official business only." No official business on Sundays? What about other police departments in the case of a manhunt or emergency?

Don't do any of these things at Columbia River Park, but do enjoy the park.

More quaintness at the Re-Uzit Shop

Busted?

Gas prices still haven't changed at Turkey Hill on Linden

Abundant banks along Shawnee Run

Cleanup on South 10th

It was time to weed-whack the dirt pile. It was also a good strategy placing the WE BUY HOUSES sign next to an upcoming building with nine single-family attached dwelling units.

After Tuesday's data center vote, borough officials must decide what's next for Columbia.
