At the 30th Annual Arbor Day Celebration at Janson's Park:
Rick Hartlieb of the DCNR Bureau of Forestry and Amy Evans, chair of the Columbia Borough Shade Tree Commission displayed a banner commemorating Columbia's 30th year as a Tree City USA.A tree was planted in memory of Ed Wickenheiser.
Morgan Bigler recited Joyce Kilmer's poem, "Trees"
Bill Kloidt presented an award to Dr. Claire Storm.

This statue of the Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva features a small seated Buddha in the headdress.
