Some were quick with excuses as to why the lights weren't functioning properly. This was touted as a professional lighting project. No excuse for it to fail in four weeks. Mediocre is acceptable in Columbia, just listen to officials describe the Walnut Street project.
seriously? people if you have nothing better to do than complain 24/7 about everything the Boro and volunteers who put in their time effort and in many cases money.....run for office. otherwise, keep the extreme negativity to yourself. it's now ridiculous. Yes, some things are not acceptable, like the Boro Council OVERSPENDING ON NONSENSE, but there are many who try to make things better and who do THEIR best. Try saying thank you sometimes. Try volunteering for all the many different opportunities around town. Let's start off 2019 on a positive note.
"Extreme negativity." How screwed up things have become. This is now the way taxpayers concerns are being viewed. If one expects a job to be well done and it's not, then they are extremely negative. Now we are also expected to say thanks for taking thousands of dollars for this project. What makes people automatically believe that if some taxpayer complains then they have never volunteered and they do not have a job? I'd say ignorance. Many residents of Columbia have blind faith in the borough's leaders, huge mistake on their part. If you're not angry, you're not paying attention. Matter of fact: Most of those worshiping this borough do not attend meetings, but somehow they know everything!
According to one commenter, if you do not run for office, you cannot complain about anything the borough does with YOUR money. That's a pretty full ballot.
