LNP at it's finest!!! As I stated under a different post about LNP, they only like to report negative news about Columbia. Doesn't matter if it's accurate or not, just as long as we look bad.

must be mayor Lutz

His address is Columbia Does council members have to live in Columbia? No one seams to be able to answer this simple question with any sense. And other positions in the borough??

It shows a columbia address under google maps, but in reality its not columbia, if columbia could have all the propertys, that LNP claims os columbia, this town would be much bigger

Why doesn't the mayor just put his name in,every one knows it is him,he all ways blasts lnp for this but the mailing address is the mailing address. Lnp should not print the things that the mayor takes as good for him .

They could have years ago. Taxes why is Columbia paying 115,000 dollars a year to s/h to run the river crossings,11,000 for the trolley? what does the tax payer get out of this but a bill?

lnp reported SUS/hert. will receive $115,000 to run the crossings a year and $11,000 to manage the trolley. What does Columbia tax payers get for this money other than a bill? The things that go on at the crossings Charge people to partisapate so what going on? Why is council spending all this money? GIVE THE TAX PAYERS A CUT IN TAXES ,THE BOROUGH WANTS HOUSES FIXED UP AND PAINTED ,HOW CAN THE PEOPLE AFFORD TO DO THIS WITH THE HIGH TAXES ? WHAT HAPPENED TO THE $8.6 MILLION THAT THE BOROUGH GOT FROM LASA? THIS COUNCIL SHOULD BE BETTER MANAGEING OUR MONEY,MORE PEOPLE IN THE BOROUGH ( ASSISTANCES AREN"T HELPING THEY ARE JUST COSTING US MONEY)PLEASE PEOPLE DON'T MAKE THINGS WORSE IN TOWN ADDING TO THE RIVER PARK, BUYING REALISTATE ,DOESN'T HELP THE TAX PAYERS, ITS MAKING US THE LAUGHING STOCK OF THE COUNTY.

Columbia has built a very expensive playground for visitors. And that's an excellent question, what do the taxpayers get out of this? Sure, we can use it too, but we are footing the bill. It's like former Councilman Jim Smith said about the maintenance-free building...no building is maintenance free, it's the gift that keeps on taking. It's unbelievable that we are paying that kind of money to operate this place. Not to mention the expenses to change the (already new) inside when Susquehanna Heritage took over, the re-coating of the deck, and the cement pad. Now another $11,000. to manage the trolley. There is also a borough employee being paid. He is doing an excellent job on daily cleaning and general maintenance. Recently, an aquaintence of mine came to Columbia to visit the Burning Bridge Antique Shop. I asked if they remained in Columbia to eat or have a drink. The answer was "no." She said they went back to Lancaster to eat. Visitors are coming... to the trail and to antique, but they aren't hanging around. So again, how is this helping taxpayers?
