Police bust on North 2nd!

Undercover detectives from the Lancaster County Drug Task Force, along with Columbia Borough Police, apprehended a man at 313 North Second Street shortly after 6 p.m. today. According to witnesses, detectives tore their way through two screen windows on a front porch to enter the house. As police led the man to a police van, he shouted that the incident was due to a probation violation. A detective and bystanders engaged in a minor verbal altercation as police entered their vehicles to leave the scene.

You should also note that some of the people who live on that Street also clapped in appreciation. That house was nothing but trouble with a lot of "traffic" unfortunately another house just like that will open for business shortly.

There is one house that has been reported for drug traffic numerous times yet nothing is done. Two weeks ago I saw him sell something to 10-12 year old kids (small packet was exchanged for money). If it is reported the only thing that happens is I have to take time off work to go to court and if we're lucky, he gets a fine which he laughs about. We're the ones being punished for doing the right thing.

We definitely clapped. Most of is were happy to finally see this to happen. We all have family and kids to raise and not have to worry about the people going in and out of that house plus the "dirt" they leave behind.

Our POLICE will ask how do you know it's drugs?? We have a few that actually need to do their jobs instead of wasting time waiting for their shift to end. They same few have an excuse even if it's happening in front of their own eyes!
Learn to hear what's being told to you, look outside the box and always research the history of the ongoing reports Mr Officer.

Columbia is a great place to live. My guess would be this man is not from Columbia, just living here long enough to cause problems. I hope he doesn't come back. We're gonna need a bigger broom---to make a clean sweep.

If you are talking about who I think you are talking I can tell you that years ago my Aunt (she died years ago) lived in Wrightsville (Murphy's Hollow). This same person was doing the same crap there! To old people!!!! Harassing them, ranting raving like a lunatic. I think it's the same guy.

East Donegal man charged in Columbia hit & run

NATHAN WILLISON | LNP Staff Writer An East Donegal Township man is facing criminal charges after police say he struck a 13-year-old with his truck and fled the scene last month.  Derek Scott Mohr, 28, is charged with causing an accident involving death or injury without a license, failing to stop to render aid, driving at an unsafe speed and related charges.  Mohr had been driving a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado through Chestnut Street in Columbia around 8 p.m. March 20 when he struck a 13-year-old boy riding a motorized scooter and continued driving, according to charging documents filed by police.  When police arrived, they found the boy with a broken leg and a cut to his forehead. If Mayor Lutz is going to accept praise for Columbia's successes, many of which, frankly, he had little direct involvement in, then he must also be held accountable for our failures.
