you know i read somewhere about what a good idea it would be to "bag" the meters to attract residents and visitors to shop local for the Christmas holidays...like they do in a couple surrounding communities! I think that would be awesome!!!! Only thing is i think you'd need a way to enforce No parking for ALL tenants/renters inthe downtown area....now that's the problem and partly why we have the need for meters to begin with....hmmmm maybe the landlords should be encouraged to make off street parking where viable.
