Residents spoke out at Thursday night's Columbia School Board meeting about the hiring of a director of operations through a joint venture between the Columbia and ELANCO districts. Don Groom 1) Don Groom , resident, took the podium first during public comments: "Regarding [agenda items] D 8, 9, 10 "I'd like someone to explain to me the purpose of these job title changes." Business Manager Amy Light :"During public comment, it's really not appropriate for a board to respond. The reason for the job title changes is to better reflect a more accurate picture of what those duties entail. There were some changes in food service department, and so they requested to change job titles and modify job descriptions a little bit to better reflect what is actually occurring in the food service department."
