Pregnant woman injured by vehicle



A pregnant woman was injured by a vehicle
shortly before nine o'clock this morning, according to witnesses. The woman, who is reportedly seven months pregnant, was removing a child from a car seat in the vehicle, when the male driver allegedly sped off, knocking her to the street. The incident occurred on Stonehouse Lane in West Hempfield Township. The woman was treated by ambulance personnel at the scene.

Cleanup after the invasion


Wilson Affeld had his work cut out for him this morning, arriving at Columbia Crossing to find a huge number of mayflies on the front porch area. Affeld said the eggs are waxy and slippery. He was power washing the floor of the front porch area to get rid of them.
