Student volunteer Carson Stahl recently completed his final mowing at the Columbia Bridge Plaza, marking the end of a commitment that began in early July, according to his father, Todd Stahl.

Despite a 41-degree temperature, Stahl wrapped up his duties at the plaza, where he has done regular mowing, trimming, and weeding since July 3 of this year. The York Catholic Middle & High School senior volunteered to handle the duties to fulfill community service requirements for his senior year.

Over the course of the season, Stahl logged 18 mowings and 40 hours of community service.

Stahl's endeavor was made possible through coordination with Jake Graham of Columbia Borough Public Works and the Columbia Park Rangers.
