Work continues at the bottom of Locust Street. 
The plan is to construct a 33-unit apartment building there.
The plan was launched in 2017.


But all good things come at a price. In this case, dirt and debris on the road.

This porch (and another right next to it) was damaged when a driver hit it on May 19 of this year, as Columbia Spy reported HERE. It's been getting rebuilt and looked like this a few days ago.

A week ago, it looked like this.

This is part of an intake update project for the Columbia Water Company, which was installed in August, as Columbia Spy reported HERE

However, the project was virtually destroyed in early September (shown HEREwhen sludge and debris washed down the river after Hurricane Ida. Shown above is what remained this week.
