Where's the Borough Manager?

Borough Manager Sam Sulkosky was conspicuously absent from Columbia Borough Council's Meeting of the Whole on Monday night. Columbia resident Frank Doutrich asked Council about his whereabouts but was initially met with stunned silence. Finally, Councillor Mary Barninger said Sulkosky is currently on leave. When Doutrich asked if he was coming back, Barninger replied, "That's yet to be determined." Doutrich pressed for further clarification on rumors about Sulkosky's departure, but Council declined to give specific answers.

I'm not sure where my comment will fit in, but I need to say that I read an article in LNP recently where a man (not living in Columbia) states that he is thankful to come to Columbia on Thursdays to meet with a group of people at the market house where they reminisce. What about the people that still live in Columbia and are unable to sit at the market and reminisce because the picnic-style tables were removed.

Good riddance to Sukolsky. He was in way over his head. I'm not sure what he accomplished before he got here, but he accomplished nothing worthwhile in Cola. In council meetings he always seemed unprepared, & never gave answers that showed he had any expertise as a mgr.

I like Sulkosky and wonder if the good old boy system doesn't like him.

Holding "court" at market.

Ultimately Sulkosky is responsible for the 13th st debacle. He is Helms boss. The codes dept has been a disgrace for years, & he wasn't doing anything to change that. Now he leaves the taxpayers holding a big financial legal headache. Thanks for the parting gift Sam.

This blog post had nothing to do with market house. It's about the borough manager but as for the current vendors there are 8 and more to come. Things don't need to be rehashed since things are moving forward and things just takes time. Negativity will hurt progress and future of market.

Is that good riddance to Mr. Helm as well?

He bears responsibility as well.

If one goes, the other MUST follow.
