This bird was seen in the Manor Street area at about 6 o'clock this evening, last seen heading towards the firehouse. It's believed to be a Chinese pheasant.

Meet Sophie - ORCA's Pet of the Week

Sophie is currently available for adoption. She came to us back in December, just a little underweight but overall healthy! She is currently our longest ORCA resident. 

Sophie is an approximate 1-year-old female. She is a little shy, but had really come out of her shell in the past few weeks and is now very lovey and playful. We often find her chasing her tail or other string toys, they are her favorite. She also loves to hang out by a window and watch what’s going on outside very closely. Sophie also loves to have little caves beds to take her naps in. 

Sophie is very sweet and likes to be petted. She does well with other cats and has been around dogs. She is fully vaccinated and spayed.

Restaurant Inspections - Columbia Borough - March 3, 2023

The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, 866-366-3723, uses a risk-based inspection reporting process for restaurants and other food handlers.

American Legion No. 372, 329 Chestnut St., Columbia, Feb. 23. Pass. Slices of bread in the kitchen are moldy and adulterated. Raw shell eggs setting directly on top of deli meat in the bain-marie. Raw beef setting directly on top of raw chicken in the small cooling unit in the kitchen. Refrigerated, ready-to-eat, time/temperature-control-for-safety food (cooked ham) prepared in the food facility and held for more than 24 hours, located in the small cooling unit, is not being date marked. Old grease buildup on the floor on both sides of the fryers. Static dust on the fume hood. The hand-wash sink in the bar/kitchen area being used as a food preparation sink as evidenced by noodles and grease.
