Minnick, Mark Anthony - LOITERING/PROWLING | Columbia Borough Police Department

On 8/4/18 at approximately 10:01am the Columbia Borough Police Department received an email from a resident from the 300 Block of  Union Street which included a video of  a male, later identified as Mark Anthony Minnick, who attempted to take out the light bulb by his door around 9:42pm on 7/14/18.  The Officer contacted the resident on 8/6/18 and informed him that Minnick had been arrested for a similar incident and that charges would be filed against Minnick for loitering and prowling for this incident as well.  Charges were completed and filed on Minnick..

THEFT FROM A VEHICLE - 900 BLOCK OF PLANE STREET | Columbia Borough Police Department

On 7/21/18 at approximately 7:44am the Columbia Borough Police Department was dispatched to the 900 Block of Plane Street for a vehicle break-in not in progress.  Upon arrival the Officer spoke with the victim who stated that her black Ford Escape had been broken into sometime between 12:30am and 7:44am.  She explained that her driver's side door was ajar when she went to get into her vehicle and that a pink Planet Fitness bag was missing from her front passenger seat.  The bag contained a black faux leather wallet containing her driver's license, credit and debit cards, her social security card, a Nintendo Switch (valued at approximately $300) and a Mario Odyssey game (valued at approximately $60).  Anyone with information regarding this break-in should contact the Columbia Borough Police Department at 717-684-7735 or text LANCS to 847411.

THEFT FROM A BUILDING | Columbia Borough Police Department

On 8/3/18 at approximately 3:00pm a resident of the 400 Block of N. 5th Street contacted the Columbia Borough Police Department in reference to a theft not in progress.  The resident stated that a PlayStation 4 game console (approximate value $500), a controller and a Madden 18 football game were stolen from his residence. FRAUD - DOOR TO DOOR COLLECTION FOR BASKETBALL ORGANIZATION | Columbia Borough Police Department

Queen, Amy Renae - MULTIPLE WARRANTS | Columbia Borough Police Department

On 8/13/18 at approximately 8:13am an Columbia Borough Police Officer, on patrol in an unmarked car, observed Amy Queen who was known to the officer as have multiple warrants against her.  The Officer had Lancaster Countywide Communication run information on Queen and found that there were 10 warrants out for her arrest.  The Officer took Queen into custody, transported her to the Columbia Borough Police Station for processing and placed her in a cell until the Sheriff's Office arrived to transport her to the Lancaster County Prison.

Strube, James Andrew - (1) count Persons prohibited from possessing firearms (F2) and 4 additional charges | Columbia Borough Police Department

James A. Strube
James A. Strube, a 22 year old with a last known address of Marietta, PA was arrested in the early morning hours of Saturday, August 11, 2018 after a vehicle pursuit.  Strube was operating a white 1994 Honda Civic in the area of N Second Street and Cedar Street around 3:15 am and failed to stop at the stop sign.  Police attempted to conduct a vehicle stop and Strube fled on Rte 30 West into York County.  He then exited north at the Wrightsville exit onto Cool Springs Road.  The pursuit went up to Grand Manor Drive in Hellam Township where Strube jumped from a moving vehicle and fled on foot into yards.  The Honda he was operating drifted down a hill towards other homes and struck a fence before coming to a stop.  A firearm was observed on the front passenger seat by additional officers arriving to assist.  Strube was located in a field north of where he fled on foot by a K9 Officer and his dog and failed to comply to verbal commands.  He was subsequently bitten by the dog.  He was taken to an area hospital for treatment.  At the time, Strube was supervised by Lancaster County Adult Probation and detained in Lancaster County Prison after his discharge from the hospital.  Police recovered a sawed-off shotgun from the vehicle along with drugs and drug paraphernalia.  Charges were completed for Persons Prohibited from Possessing Firearms, Fleeing or Attempting to Elude Police, Prohibitive Offensive Weapons, Resisting Arrest, Possession of Controlled Substances, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and several traffic violations. Columbia Borough Police were assisted by West Hempfield Township Police, Hellam Township Police, Lower Windsor Police, a Manheim Borough K9 Unit, Northwest Regional Police K9, York County Sheriff's Office K9, and PA State Police helicopter.  He will be arraigned on charges early in the week.  All Parties are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
