Police: Missing woman found in Columbia

A Columbia woman who had been missing since Sunday evening has been found, police said. Jessica Yingst, 27, was found in Columbia and is no longer considered a missing endangered person, according to Columbia Borough Police Department.

On Monday, April 2, 2018 an officer from the West Hempfield Township Police Department was dispatched to the Speedway Gas Station, located at 1792 Columbia Avenue, Columbia, PA 17512 for an employee theft report.
Speedway management reported that between February 28, 2018 and March 27, 2018, 46 year old employee, Scott Fred Realmuto, of Malleable Road, Columbia, PA 17512, removed $804.93, from the store without authorization.
Continuing on the same date, the West Hempfield Township Police Department filed one count of Theft by unlawful taking or disposition Section 3921 (A) (M1), at MDJ Miles Bixler's Office in Columbia, PA 17512, against Realmuto.
All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

On Friday, April 6, 2018, at about 10:39 AM, officers from the West Hempfield Township Police Department were dispatched for an employee theft at the Kmart Store located at 3975 Columbia Avenue, Columbia, PA 17512.
Kmart management reported that 62-year-old Lawrence Paul Kroft, Jr., of South 12th Street, Columbia, PA 17512, had removed $43.94 worth of merchandise without paying the full retail value.
Continuing on the same date, the West Hempfield Township Police Department cited Kroft with Retail theft Section 3929 (A)(1) (S).
All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The Columbia Borough Police took a report of a burglary that occurred in the 200 blk. of S. 8th St. between Wednesday 04-04-18 and Saturday 04-07-18 at approx. 2:30AM. A flat screen TV and Xbox 1 gaming system were taken.
