SNOW REMOVAL FOR SATURDAY 01-30-16

The Public Works crew is slated to remove snow on Walnut St. from 5th St. to 9th St. on 01-30-16 starting at noon. Residents are asked to remove their vehicles from the streets during this time.

Forecast: Climbing temps, dwindling snowpack

Greg Sahd, Columbia borough manager, said clearing up storm drains was part of the overall clean-up strategy. Officials are working on getting assistance from PennDOT to help clear the roads. "It's a slow slog," Sahd said.
