Columbia Borough 2017 Community & Economic Development Activity Report
The following Columbia Borough 2017 Community & Economic Development Activity Report was presented by Assistant Borough Manager Rebecca Denlinger at Monday's regular borough council meeting:
Reading objectively...How can they take credit for what other people already had in the works? The flag poles at the islands for instance was an idea that began years ago, local veterans already had this in the works. The chip factory? The borough didn't buy that, but now they want to work with the owner. The bags and flags project? I do not recall ever seeing even one of the hand stamped bags and I shop local. And looks like we're paying for a bunch of numbers on paper, to prove what?
Community map project: Is that the same map that excluded one borough street and certain well established businesses? Perhaps touting that as an accomplishment isn't the best way to go.
first and foremost the Borough MUST get the drug problem under control. We really truly need K-9 officerS. We should have at LEAST 2. time to take back this town. light up the downtown so people aren't afraid to walk it in the evenings. encourage every business owner to replace lightbulbs with LED'S and light up the night...every night! too many punks in town. it's a shame the boro doesn't spend money on something good...like create a program to remove HALP THE RENTAL PROPERTIES AND TURN THEM BACK into single family owned homes. tax incentives!!!!! what the heck don't you understand? more than 800 rentals in this little town. that's a problem.
Actually, what I'm accomplishing is being done without the use of taxpayer's money so I do not have to answer to them for spending. If I use someone else's idea I give them the credit.

This all seems like a lot of nothing.
A lot of nothing our taxes are paying for. Enough is enough.
Actually, read objectively there were some things that were accomplished.

They're accomplishing more than you are.
