After waiting at the front of her vehicle, Curry retreated inside and locked the doors. In the photo above, she can be seen speaking to a witness while waiting for police to arrive.

Was the woman in the long leather coat charged with anything? It sure looks like she is kicking the woman on the ground. And her knee is dirty like she was also down at one point.

My videos show a lot of drama unfolding at the scene. Curry, the alleged shooter did not try to flee but instead waited at the front of her vehicle before retreating inside. She might have feared for her life at that point.

Do we know if the male in the vehicle was charged with anything? Are these two "pond scum" people from Columbia? No one has the right to treat anyone like this nutcase did. Shame on her for spitting on someone and shooting an innocent bystander.

The police report does not state that the male (Smith) was charged with anything. Curry and Smith are apparently from Columbia.

UJS portal, look them up. Jamie roland and alicia mccowin. Very interesting. If ya want to break up a fight call the police.dont get into it. Why do people rush to judgement. Let the courts handle it... is it possible that this is a case of pretend gun vs. Real gun? This always ends bad. If miss alicia had a prob with the way miss curry was driving she could have called the law. How about all the people doin the I phone video thing. Did any of them call the police ??? Just sayin. I also find it interesting that curry did not shoot to kill. Leg shot ? Maybe to stop an attack.

Who cares where mr smith lives or eats pizza. An atempt to stir up more trouble ? As far as i know he is a great guy who has done a lot for columbia and the folks who live in that town. Kind of guy who minds his biz. It is a shame when these things happen but lets not talk about giving the town a bad name. This happens everywhere everyday. This is the world we live in. Where im from this happens evey week so get over it. Gun drama sucks but guns are here to stay. Stand your ground. Yall have a good night.

Interesting . Very very interesting ! No doubt some interesting pictures. Videos and blogs. Part of the solution or are they the problem. People want to stir up trouble whith uninformed opinions.... leave it to the law people. Dont throw feul on the fire. Some one could get hurt or even dead because of misinformation. Already enough problems. We dont want more problems. Lets go for a peacefull solution and let the proper agencys do there job. Thiis is why we have law enforcement and courts.

Thanks for the tip. I just looked up docket sheets for that name and date of birth. IF this is the same person, it looks like this gal has had quite a few problems with the law over the past several years. I'm not suggesting she deserved to be shot, but it may show that whatever was going on may well have had TWO sides.

No doubt, something is not right, there is a lot more to this. The UJS is always a usefull tool. As far as her record no she does not deserve to be shot but her actions on shooting day are to say the least questionable. I heard it was miss curry that was choked nearly to death at mussers lot. Coincedence ? Heard the people who attacked her were around for this incedent. Maybe that why she carrys a gun. From what i understand a legal gun with a valid concealed carry permit. People who know her say she would give anything she has to person in need. Also found out she has a twin sister that looks just like her who is a heroin addict that causes problems all over town. Mistaken ID perhaps ? Someone was stalking curry from the wies market to cvs in town just the week before all this happened. Charges pending... people need to relax and let the law handle things. There is a lot of creepy creatures in town. Bad people drug addicts who will do anything for a bag. If you live in town dont kid your self they are lurkin everywhere. You may wish you had a gun one day too... I am not promoting violence but bad things happen be prepared. More info on the way.....

I know mr smith . He was cleared of all acusations in this incedent. Also a legal gun owner with a valid carry permit. Getting more interesting.every minute. The way i see it curry should be released asap. Maybe a charge for engaging in fighting but on the ag asult no way. Some one said ....pretend gun... i think they are right. If she was stalked its mccowin that need to be charged and held liable for all wrongdoing in this matter....every one in columbia should kick up a buck and get miss curry out today... a 90 pound girl is the one to stand up to the bad element that lurks in columbia. Well now ...how interesting it would seem that things are not as the media stated them to be... shame on them for tryin to get people fired up on facts that show only one side of a story. Not a surprise they do this stuff all the time. News 8 total BS at 6 and 11. The lancaster paper they try to stir up s@#t so they have something to report on in the future for their already failing newspaper... sad but true. Maybe they could do a report about how the media contributes to the problems that they harp about in the first place... they are so worried about public safety but they report stuff in such a way that will surely cause further problems. Racism charged by media....sounds like a topic for the sunday paper for sure. Stay tuned more at 6and 11...

So where does this discussion leave us? I am happy people commented. Different sides of a story to consider? Perhaps it was racially motivated, but I am not sure just because one person is white, the other black, it automatically becomes labeled as race. I am happy to see the information about Mr. Smith. There does seem to be more to this story than reported. Perhaps she did feel threatened, I do not know.

Thank you for this forum to engage in dialogue and for your commitment to cover Columbia, and all facets, positive and negative.

Apc affidavit of probable cause available at district justice office... pay a fee... 10 dollars i believe.. might be wrong..... and yes the aopc or ujs the unified justice system website has a wealth of info any one can check out... want to know some thing about someones past.... a name first and last and a county..... simple as that......

Looks as if miss curry cleared a path to saftey the only way she could. In her car she locked the doors and waited for police. She did not run. Infact one lady was still trying to enter her car after she got in it and locked the door... you would think after a gun shot one would back the f$%k off..... just sayin. It is amazing how quick some are to judge others. Good people being done wrong. Town of columbia needs to get behind curry and let the district court know the truth. If anyone has info they need to get it to the proper people and get miss curry back to her familly. How bout instead they go after the thugs that have taken over columbia. No wonder there is no walking traffic to suport the biz in town. There are plenty of you who know how to make a stink about things on the net. Get the word out. Get this girl home.....

I FIND IT INTERESTING .... the media has only reported one side of this story. Example.... news 8. Takes the race card and runs with it full on. Doing interviews with people that are obviously friends of people in question. Pathetic uniformed reporting at best. Let us not forget the jenell stelson issue just weeks ago. Should media agencys be held liable for trylng to start problems in our communitys? Will glenn, manfred and roland be held acountable for thier actions? As the facts come to the surface it would seem that curry did not start this problem but was forced to end it. No matter what she said or did in between was a result of being pushed to the breaking point. That being said its self defense all day long. Thank you cole for this post and the chance to express opinions positive and negative. This conversation has only just started. I think this one will go 180 and it will ooen the door for a talk about why columbia is home to all the shady people who cant manage to survive anywhere else in the county. Every where you look there is something shady or criminal goin on right out on the streets in plain view. I understand that officers in cola make no less then 70 thoasand a year... what gives ? No disrespect . They must need more manpower to make it right or peipl are left to protect themselves. Sorry for runnin on.......... thanx.

Most of the local media has portrayed Curry as the "bad guy" or girl in this case and adding the issue of race doesn't help her either. This news website is one of the few places that Curry has even been looked at as human. Glad people are discussing the issue here.

After doing some research i found thar the women involved in this incedent have records a mile long . Not just good people trying to help. I also know that curry has been stalked for years. One stalking incedent just two weeks before this mess. Curry does not leave her home often because of this. Curry is a legal gun owner with a valid concealed carry permit. I highly doubt she just decided to shoot someone for no reason. Curry is a good person with a big heart. She does not do drugs or get in trouble. I find it interesting this woman repeatedly called her a heroin addict and had a real problem with that. Curry has a sister who leads a less then perfect life. See lancaster online about twin sisters at lancaster prison. This whole thing is a crock and everbody needs to know this. These other women did not tell a straight story. Its just not possible. Curry needs to be home with her family. The media is just pathetic and they owe her a huge apology.

Hey now, lets get some facts staight here. Mccowin put on a hell of an act after the fact but while tailgating miss curry was acting like an absolute loon. Mccowin also aproached curry long after curry tried to get away from her. Manfred and roland did not assisist mccowin they saw an op to jump in a fight and attacked curry instead of calling police. Roland threatend currys life several times. Curry did not get a gun from her truck and go back to shoot. She was in fact being attacked and gave clear and fair warning. These women continued to assult her. She did what she had to do. Then waited for police. The media should be sued for the way they reported this incedent !

I am chronicly ill and ashley curry has been my caretaker and friend for many years. I do not know a better person. If any of this is true she must have been pushed to far. There is no way she just up and shot someone for no good reason. I have been reading some hatefull stuff on other sites that are far worse then some of the things she is acused of saying and doing. Ashley has been dealing with domestic violence all her life and yet still manages to keep a good outlook on life. No one should have to live in fear every day but she does. There is a lot more to this and will come out as all of this unfolds. People have to carry guns when their abusers get away with never ending incedents. For what its worth ashleys abuser has violated his 5th PFA just two weeks ago. Amazingly he is still out creepin around town... she has had no contact with this man for 8 years and still he has people follow her around on a regular basis. Not long ago beat her and a friend with a baseball bat .8 counts of ag assult with a deadly weapon and walked. Jee wiz the police cant do nothin about this sort of stuff so what are people left to do. Again... 5 PFAs and all of them violated !

The report says miss curry ran to her truck to get a gun and then came back to shoot. That is completely ridiculous too. The combined weight of those women compared to curry is like a car parked on a shoe box. Sucks to have to rant and rave but curry deserves a fair shake and it would seem she is not. Smith before he got sick had a lot of years turning some of columbias worst crack houses and nusense propertys into uper end viable dwellings. I know this because i worked with him on many projects. He has taken on huge projects by himself in an effort to make columbia a better place for all. So for you people who want to call him "pond scum" maybe you should get to know him. That is not the case. He has also raised a couple mids that were not his own when their pond scum from columbia father never contributed a penny. Just abuse towards the mother and kids. Wow, it would now seem that curry was well with in her rights to protect herself. After being stalked and harassed she was then attacked long after the argument was over. The topic of shoplifting keeps comin up. Curry was never in the store so who dropped all the items in question. Hmmm ! Curry is being punished. That just does not strike me as fair. I can only hope a judge can see thru this bull s@#t and make things right. Miss curry and mr smirh are good people. It is no fault of theirs that columbia has been forever over flowed with such wonderfull people. Lets get real i hear folks pissin and moanin all the time about "the bad element" in town. First visit @gogetfunding.com/ashleys-justice-fund/ and view the police report document and pictures. Then google search the link for pennsylvania unified judicial system and search common pleas docket sheets under the name of the one who was shot and see for yourself this one was on probation for being a known criminal.....
So what would you call it when a girl who has no criminal record and only defending her life get's wrongfully charged while the known criminal who was on probation and she is not charged even though she broke the law and violated probation... Is that racist or selective prosecution maybe even both?
You be the Judge and please post this I find it interesting people can post what they think yet when you want hard core facts published they don't want to do that Why???????
Perhaps you could ask the prosecutor why? And publish that too?

How about some truth about Ms. Curry's ex-defense Attorney?
Find that interesting too no one wants to put that out there well the petition to withdraw has been filed and the reason for that is because he represented the shot girl in not just one previous criminal action but 2 then claimed he never knew... Lawyers are required to keep a "conflict" file for just that reason...
That would make for an interesting article... I'm told Mr. Marinaro is the best in the county that being said if that is true then what does that say about the COunty??? And well you get the idea, at least I hope you do and if you don't then you have my pity....

I'm sorry Mr. Umber but when a prosecutor goes on the News and makes comments about Ms. Curry being a danger to society while concealing the fact that she was only defending herself from the danger in society, the drug atticks who were on probation and in possession of a "drug pipe" both with current and prior rap sheets put her in, there is something very wrong with that. When a prosecutor cares more about securing a wrongful conviction then he does persueing the truth. I heard This same prosecutor is running for district Judge would you want someone like that hearing and ruling on your case?

NATHAN WILLISON | LNP Staff Writer An East Donegal Township man is facing criminal charges after police say he struck a 13-year-old with his truck and fled the scene last month.  Derek Scott Mohr, 28, is charged with causing an accident involving death or injury without a license, failing to stop to render aid, driving at an unsafe speed and related charges.  Mohr had been driving a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado through Chestnut Street in Columbia around 8 p.m. March 20 when he struck a 13-year-old boy riding a motorized scooter and continued driving, according to charging documents filed by police.  When police arrived, they found the boy with a broken leg and a cut to his forehead. His scooter was lying nearby, its handlebars completely snapped off.  Another teenager who witnessed what happened described the truck to police and said that the driver made no attempt to stop after striking the boy.
