A resident of Perry Street who spoke at the recent borough council meeting said she had been cited (and fined $400) for weeds and trash in her yard, because a neighbor complained.
I wonder if anyone complained about these weeds (and trash) seen today on and around the property at 205 Perry Street:
Did anyone cite these properties at 156 South Second Street?
Even our friends at Norfolk Southern could do a little better:

This happened to me also. I received a citation for something that several other people do within the borough. I was told that basically it doesn't matter until someone reports it. So the citations are delivered on an arbitrary basis.
How unfair to have one house in the 200 block of Perry Street fined when almost directly across the street another house with visible violations is apparently permitted to neglect weeds.
I hope the new quick ticket system will be administered uniformly.
Should be done uniformly.
Here it is in a quick glance. The towns people need to know what homes are rental homes, section 8"s, how many units, how many parking places for each unit, who owns these properties. A sign needs to be put out in front of these properties if they are rental, section 8"s and who the owners are. Lets see if we can do this!!
the codes dept needs to step it up and pretend they live next door to these properties...maybe then something will be done. and oh yeah...toss out the good ole boy system. it's not fair.
I agree 100% what does anyone else think about this??
