These two seemed to be doing a rain dance
at River Park.
But - uh-oh - there was enough mud without any rain.
Then WGAL's Katelyn Smith showed up.
She checked out the park . . .
. . . and then her notes.
Meanwhile, uptown, Steve Madonna strummed
outside the newly created Glenn Gallery as the
Fourth Fridays celebration began.
Fourth Fridays celebration began.
Chris Davis posed outside
the gallery with Pandora.
I saw this interesting notation
on Locust Street.
Further down Locust, I saw this speaker
hanging from a cord at the old Charles Chips building.
There was also a sign.
Chris Vera invited us in.
There was live music inside.
Back uptown, this guy was adjusting
the flag at borough hall.
This lady was selling liquid volcanoes.
Apparently, they passed the taste test.
Jackie Shive showed off her creations.
There were also birdhouses by Mike.
Back at Fourth and Locust, these guys
began an impromptu jam session . . .
. . . and traded guitar licks.
At Glenn Gallery, Steve and friends were
getting into it.
Inside SCCA, these guys were making
music, too. Note the speaker dangling
from the singer's neck.
Outside, Chris picked up a nifty hat from
the balloon man . . .
. . . as did this guy.
The musicians at SCCA stepped outside.
I assume they did so because of the heat from the
furnaces inside the building.
furnaces inside the building.
I was told they are members of The Wayfarers.
Anyway, they didn't hold back at all
and sounded quite good.
This girl liked her new hat, too.
And so did this kid.
This guy is another area singer.
Finally, the balloon man outfitted another willing victim.
As usual, the event was a great success.
Hooray!!!
Let's do it again!
Let's do it again!

Great shot of the guy on the step...life: Cigarettes, Coffee, Cell phone!
Yes, the basic necessities of life for some folks.
Thank you for capturing and sharing these GREAT images. It is always refreshing to look back and enjoy the event via photographs. We hope to see you for the dedication ceremony at Glenn Gallery during the June Fourth Fridays event. Now...take a much deserved rest.

It WAS fun. Things really DO happen in Columbia!
Thanks. It was a labor of love shooting all the pics. I'll definitely be at the next one, too. Like I said: "Let's do it again!"
