Ice Capades Follow-up


River ice was melting today due to above-freezing temperatures. The video above shows free-flowing water near the Veterans Memorial Bridge where people were walking on the ice just yesterday (shown HERE).

Micah Stewart, serving life for 2004 screwdriver murder of Cortney Fry, loses appeal


In his appeal, Micah Stewart, 30, claimed his trial lawyers were ineffective because they failed to tell the jury he attacked Cortney Fry while he was high on crack cocaine and marijuana.

Clay 4 Kids at SCCA

The Susquehanna Center for the Creative Arts will host a Children's Class, "Clay 4 Kids"
February 20 - March 5. The class will meet three Saturdays, Feb. 20, 27 and March 5 from 10 am - 12 Noon.
Instructor: Robert Troxell
Robert Troxell is a Columbia artist with a national reputation for clay work. He received his MFA from the University of Delaware and PhD from Penn Sate.
The approach will encompass beginning techniques of slab building, pinch pots, and coil building.  Young people will be encouraged to use their imaginations as we construct the projects.  Our primary goal is to have each person to gain knowledge about clay, tap his or her creative imagination, and have fun. 
Cost: $45 for three sessions
