On the waterfront

 Chiques Challenge participants

A boater took cover under the bridge during a recent downpour.

Another boater didn't.  He decided to put his boat in during the deluge.

A flotilla of canoes (and kayaks) sailed downstream last Saturday morning.
I think the participants were members of a boy scout troop.

And there they go!

Signs of the times

 At the Catholic War Vets

 SAINTS ONLY
(Or is it AINTS ONLY . . . ?)
(Seen at Prudhomme's)

 A reminder from the Hambones

 Buddhist temple upgrade

Speaking of Buddhism, there's an "OM" missing from the high school sign.
(And yes, that word is used in the Hindu religion, also.)
Of course, there could be a guy named "Octavius Maximus" who took the letters for his bragging wall.
(Hmmm . . . I see there's a "C" and a "U" left.)

This coming Friday is the last day for this program.

Huh?

Last but not least, there are a number of dog owners in town who need to read and heed this sign.

On the road again

Well, come on now - really!

Looks like Dad is packing heat.  I've heard of "riding shotgun," but this takes it to another level.
