Notices (as shown above) have been posted downtown announcing a public meeting to be held by Columbia Borough Council on December 16 to consider rezoning several blocks of the downtown from residential to downtown commercial. Currently, the notices are posted from 2nd Street to 5th Street as well as on several intersecting streets.
According to the notice, public comments can be submitted to the Lancaster County Planning Commission. A public meeting of the commission will be held November 25 at 2:30 p.m. at 150 North Queen Street, Lancaster.
The December 16 meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at the District Administration Center, 200 North 5th Street, Columbia.
As of this posting, the notice does not appear on the Columbia Borough website and Facebook page and is not advertised at Lancaster Online.
