Feet in the Street Art Show Saturday, September 16

Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce invites the public to participate in the Feet in the Street Art Show, a free community event coordinated by SVCC.

Hands-on art activities for all ages, dance
instruction, and a select number of food trucks will be located in the 500 Block of Locust Street, in Locust Street Park. The event will be held on Saturday, September 16, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Hands-on activities such as chalk drawing on the sidewalk, make and take crafts, and a community mural may be enjoyed by the young and young at heart. Our guests may meander to the Feet in the Street foot painting area to leave their footprint in paint. Willing attendees may dip one or both feet in various buckets containing different colors of paint to leave a personal imprint on the paper provided.

At 11:15 a.m., attendees are invited to join in the interactive dance instruction provided by Silver Spring Dance Studio. The dance instruction for all ages will take place from approximately 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Following a short break, the York County Youth Development Center will offer a fun and interactive drumming time from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. The Street Beats group will use buckets to create rhythms and dancing.

Throughout the day, the public is invited to enjoy art displays from Columbia High School, which will be found in Locust Street Park. Columbia Creative Factory will offer a chance to help create a mural which they will display in their window.
