None of the vending dispensers around town contained any copies of the Sunday News this morning, as of about 10 a.m., although some contained last Thursday's paper. Stover's and the Minit Market on the highway had stacks of the Sunday News. So why not these street corner racks?
(Phone calls to the circulation department yielded no answers, just recordings.)

I thought that LNP became so great now with all the changes. Don't they have a slogan something like "always Lancaster" maybe that is quite true and no longer includes Columbia.
Could be, which would be ironic since the first newspaper vending machine in the US was used here in Columbia.
I saw an elderly woman from saint peter's apartments looking to get a paper at the dispenser, of course she left empty handed.
I wonder what happened.
If something happened to Sunday's delivery ok, but then how does that explain there being papers in a couple of the dispensers since last Thursday? Seems like no one was around to fill them for a few days.
kind of like the publication: slick appearance with nothing inside
LOL right!
I called about this on Monday and was transferred to the circulation department and the person speaking knew nothing about the problem. I get the feeling LNP is going to be a half #*! operation, especially since they moved the printing portion to another area.
There were no new newspapers as of yesterday. I didn't check today.
With the pathetic reporting that goes on in that news paper who give a flyin rats a#s if the vending machine is empty. They should just give up and call it a day. Never report anything good in columbia anyway . Just the police logs and who stole what from who and what junkie overdosed and when. When it comes to lancaster county columbia is considered a hell hole unto itself. Support columbia by not buying that trash paper to begin with. Good investment if ya need to start a fire in your wood stove....
