SCCA Invitational on Fourth Friday

Dear Friends and Patrons of the Susquehanna Center for the Creative Arts,

Please join us for our SCCA Invitational, Friday, June 24 from 5-9 p.m. at 224 Locust Street, Columbia, PA. Please see the attached poster and  original art, "Road Haus" by Richard Huck.

The show is curated by Milt Friedly and Robert Troxell and features many local talents including Dan Burns, Jim Gallagher, Carol Galligan, Claire Giblin, Claire Lavin and Richard Huck. In addition we have included some of the area's young emerging talent: Pottery by Rebecca Ast; Paintings by Kristy Huesken and Meghan Kreider; and sculptor Tom Yurkovic. 

We will have printmaking by Milt Friedly (Most of Milt's work will be removed for a show at the North Museum.), Robert Troxell and Shawn Williams. Pottery by Milt Friedly, Jim Lard and Robert Troxell.

Stamped fine art by Tennesee  artist Carl Gombert. And a special floor installation by James Fuhrman.

Gargoyle sighted at St. Paul's Episcopal

Not to be outdone by the carved grotesques of Notre Dame Cathedral, a miniature gargoyle has taken up residence above the bell tower of Saint Paul's Episcopal Church on the 300 block of Locust - and this one is moveable.






Yellow Submarine lands in Columbia!

Just in time for Fourth Friday, and all the way from Pepperland, the Yellow Submarine has landed at  ARTS@Hinkles at 247 Locust Street - which can only mean one thing: Newer and bluer meanies have been sighted within the vicinity of this borough.
