MIDDLETOWN — The champs are back.
Reigning Lancaster-Lebanon League girls basketball champ Columbia hit the court for the first time this season on Friday night.
The Crimson Tide didn't waste any time, punching it into warp speed from the jump and jetting past Hanover 63-21 in the first round of Middletown's tip-off tournament.
"We have a good unit, and we're all really excited," Columbia sharpshooter Kailee Soto said. "One day and one game at a time. That's how we're taking it."
"We have an experienced team," Columbia coach Karl Kreiser said, "and they've been champing at the bit to finally play."
